With effect from 1st October 2017 patients will no longer be able to order prescriptions over the telephone. The repeat slips received back from the chemist are to be handed in at Reception or posted to us. Only in exceptional circumstances i.e. if you are housbound, will we take requests over the phone. If you have difficulty accessing the surgery please either sign up for My Health Online, where you will be able to order your repeat prescriptions with us directly via the internet, or speak to your local pharmacy.
Out of Hours Outside normal surgery hours, e.g. evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, medical care is provided by North Wales Out Of Hours Service (0300 123 5566), the recognised out-of-hours service commissioned by Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board
Home Visits Our doctors typically see four patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients who are mobile to come to the practice, if at all possible. Request for visits to housebound patients should be made before 11:00am. Visits will be carried out at the discretion of the doctors.
Patient Registration If you live in our practice area and would like to register with us, please either complete the on-line form attached or visit us at the surgery to complete a registration form that is available from reception. On the form, you will be able to say which practitioner you would prefer to see. However, you will be registering with the practice rather than an individual GP.
Pre bookable consultations are available to book Monday to Friday up to four weeks in advance. The practice also offers a book on the day system whereby if you ring the surgery or call in from 08:30 then you will be given an appointment for that day.
Appointments are for 10 minutes and for one person only. If you think that a longer appointment is necessary, please mention this to our receptionists.
We do try to keep to the appointment times, but in the nature of the job, there are some unavoidable delays. We ask for you to be patient if this happens. Please note that from time to time, you may not be able to see your chosen GP because he/she may either be on holiday, having just been on call,or undertaking further training. In these instances, our staff will either offer you an appointment with another GP or advise you when best to contact us again to see your chosen GP.
Appointments are a mixture of pre book and book on the day.
8.30am to 11.30am and 3.00pm to 5.30pm
Saturday and Sunday - closed
Appointment lines open at 08:30. Please do not call before then unless you have a medical emergency, you will be asked to call back.
