Prescription Requests

Please note requests for prescriptions will not be taken over the telephone.  The repeat slips received back from the chemist are to be handed in at Reception or posted to us.  Only in exceptional circumstances i.e. if you are housbound, will we take requests over the phone.  If you have difficulty accessing the surgery please either sign up for My Health Online, where you will be able to order your repeat prescriptions with us directly via the internet, or speak to your local pharmacy.

Out of Hours
Outside normal surgery hours, e.g. evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, medical care is provided by North Wales Out Of Hours Service (0300 123 5566), the recognised out-of-hours service commissioned by Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board

Home Visits
Our doctors typically see 4 patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit.  For this reason, we ask our patients who are mobile to come to the practice, if at all possible. Request for visits to housebound patients should be made before 11:00am.  Patients will be contacted by telephone first with visits being undertaken at the discretion of the doctors.

Patient Registration
If you live in our practice area and would like to register with us, please either complete the on-line form attached or visit us at the surgery to complete a registration form that is available from reception. On the form, you will be able to say which practitioner you would prefer to see. However, you will be registering with the practice rather than an individual GP.

Booking an appointment

An explanation of reception triage

When you telephone the surgery to book an appointment, our Receptionists will ask you the reason you want the appointment.

To help you make the correct appointment we need to know a little more about why you need the appointment.  This is because the Receptionist has a number of alternative types of appointments available and we need to offer you the most appropriate appointment to deal with your problem.

The most appropriate appointment may be with a GP for example, or perhaps with another member of our Practice Team i.e. Physiotherapist, Pharmacist, Nurse etc.

In this way, on the occasions when you really do need to see a GP, there is more likely to be a free appointment for you.

Please be assured that whatever you tell or say to the Receptionist will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

Thank you.
