Please note requests for prescriptions will not be taken over the telephone. The repeat slips received back from the chemist are to be handed in at Reception or posted to us. Only in exceptional circumstances i.e. if you are housbound, will we take requests over the phone. If you have difficulty accessing the surgery please either sign up for My Health Online, where you will be able to order your repeat prescriptions with us directly via the internet, or speak to your local pharmacy.
Out of Hours Outside normal surgery hours, e.g. evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, medical care is provided by North Wales Out Of Hours Service (0300 123 5566), the recognised out-of-hours service commissioned by Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board
Home Visits Our doctors typically see 4 patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients who are mobile to come to the practice, if at all possible. Request for visits to housebound patients should be made before 11:00am. Patients will be contacted by telephone first with visits being undertaken at the discretion of the doctors.
Patient Registration If you live in our practice area and would like to register with us, please either complete the on-line form attached or visit us at the surgery to complete a registration form that is available from reception. On the form, you will be able to say which practitioner you would prefer to see. However, you will be registering with the practice rather than an individual GP.
Our Nurses run their own surgeries in a specially equipped treatment room. Appointments can be booked in advance with the Nurses. They are vital to the well-being of our patient and can help/advise on a vast range of medical conditions, including:
If you come to a non-appointment surgery acutely ill or if you bring a child with an acute or infectious illness, please tell the receptionist who will ensure that you are seen promptly.
Registered patients aged over 16-74 who have not been seen for three years may request a consultation.
Registered patients aged over 75 who have not been seen in the previous 12 months may request a consultation. If you are unable to attend the surgery for this consultation because of your medical condition, a home visit may be arranged.
Flu and Pneumonia Vaccinations are encouraged for all patients over 65, and also, patients under 65 who have certain medical conditions.
For further information, please speak to a Practice Nurse.
